Cluster feeding?

My nearly 3 week newborn is constantly feeding for hours and every time he comes off he screams to go back on. My issue is that he is pulling himself off and is reluctant to relatch, he also fidgets a lot and grunts. Any advice?

When he starts fidgeting give him a thorough burping session. I was told breastfed babies don't need burping. It was a lie.

The midwife recommended Infacol, we have given him some and started burping him but he’s still fussing. We’ve done tummy massages, bicycle legs and burping. I’m at a loss.

Do you continue to burp him until you get a really big burp out? Not just little hiccup burps? It might take ten mins of being over your shoulder and patting his back but it will come. And then he should feed much better again.
