When did your babies stop drinking milk at night

I'm just curious. I know all babies are different!

My baby just turned 1 and still feeds twice in the night. I've tried to settle her without but she doesn't want her dummy or water, it's milk she wants. She feeds three times in the day (5/6 oz each time) and doesn't want anymore so can't get her to drink more so she's getting enough to cover the nights. She's a fairly good eater, eats little and often.

When did your babies stop feeding at night? Any tips for the transition? I'm expecting my second in Sept so would really help if she stops by then!

I night weaned all of mine around 9 months.
I only fed at set times in the night (11pm and 3am) and first gradually pushed the 3am one later and later until it became the morning feed, and then the 11pm one earlier and reduced it until they didn't need it.

3 feeds of 5oz in the day is plenty for a 12 month old.

My 10mo stopped taking night feeds at 4mo. I can’t remember how much he took during the day at the time but he’s on 4 x 7oz bottles and 3 ‘meals’ during the day now.

I’m afraid it was really just luck/his temperament in our case as he dropped his night feeds gradually on his own and he’s always needed a lot of sleep for his age so far

DC now a teen, was premmie. Advice was that the aim was for babies to sleep through the night from 16-20 weeks. With an early baby 6 months was the aim. DC was sleeping 8pm-6am by 5 months.

Mine stopped having milk at night at around 9 months, though very occasionally still has one if he’s teething or unwell (17 months now). At 1 year he was only having 2 bottles a day, one before nap and one before bed as he was eating 3 proper meals plus snacks so didn’t need more.

My son is breastfed but I have read many things saying advice now is not to restrict night feeds until at least 12 months and ideally 18months (if breastfed) but the at least 12months is relevant for all babies however they are fed IF they are waking up for it.
My son is 19months and still wakes as does a friends child the same age although friends child has recently slept through a couple of times.

ds1 stopped at 6 months and ds2 stopped at 4 months. It’s likely more habit than hunger at this stage

Mine was about 5 or 6 months and we started to give water instead of milk at night after realising they were waking up at exactly the same time every night and only having a couple of ounces and falling back to sleep. We realised it was habit more than anything and they were drinking plenty throughout the day. Some people will be outraged probably but it worked for us and no harm done.

8 months and I kicked myself that I should have done it sooner as it was pretty easy and a full night’s sleep is 🤩
