Hi all, looking for some advice.
I am currently breastfeeding my six month old little girl. She is my second child but my first time feeding this long. I wasn’t able to with my
first past six weeks. Although I’m so pleased we have made it this far I’m so touched oUt and feeling really trapped. She always feeds through the night and is constantly latched when sleeping for naps in the day. It just isn’t sustainable anymore particularly when I also have a three year old to also look after. Any advice on how to wean please

I should mention she does already take a bottle with her dad if I’m not there,
but want to wean as gently as possible x

Dummy?

I'll find some advice for gentle weaning, but just noting that weaning may well not solve your DDs need for touch, though, which is normal for a baby. You sound tired out, OP, have you got help and support?

I’d try to tackle the sleep first. Try the No Cry Sleep Solution to see if you can get her sleeping without being attached to you.

If you want to start weaning, it’s recommended dripping one feed every two weeks. So is your DH able to take over a regular feed each day? Maybe leave them downstairs and you get some sleep and leave him to do a feed at around 11pm? Alternatively he could do the first feed of the day so that you’ve got a chance to have a shower and get ready?
