Mucusy poo and unsettled baby

I’ve been reading forums for the last two weeks to try to find a reason…
The last two weeks my formula fed LO (almost 10 weeks old) has seemingly had tummy troubles - crying with a lot of gas, sometimes needs assistance to poop (Windi gas passer) but will generally pop once per day but is incredibly sad until that happens.
He’s happily taking 4oz per feed every 3 hours - sometimes less but when he poos they are very mucusy - green and mustard colour and absolutely stink. I also think by this age he should be having more milk less often? He sometimes takes 5oz but not regularly. He’s got tiny little spots on his mouth and I’ve spotted some on his bottom too, and a couple of days ago I noticed a very subtle rash on his chest but it’s not there all the time and shows itself different times of the day.
He doesn’t cry on the bottle but is very congested (sometimes sounds like he’s choking on it), has hiccups alllll the time after a feed and his reflux is getting worse everyday. Could this be the beginning of CMPA? I haven’t taken him to the GP because I know they’ll just say it’s colic or reflux and I’m hesitant to go without any concrete symptoms as I know GP’s can gaslight a lot of mums in this situation… but something in my gut tells me it’s something in his milk.
He was on cow and gate when he was born but we swapped to SMA Little Steps almost 6 weeks ago, and has been fine until now…I’m trying to put it down to just a phase and immature gut as I’ve read gas can peak from 8-10 weeks.. but would love some opinions here? Many thanks! 🙏🏻

No I don’t think it’s the start of CMPA, I think it very well could be CMPA Flowers

Have a read of this from Allergy UK. When I went to the GP I printed off the article and took it with me.

Cow’s Milk Allergy

Cow’s milk allergy is an abnormal response by the body’s immune system in which proteins in a food are recognised as a potential threat.

@BunnyRuddington thank you! I’ll make an appointment with the GP. Could it be CMPA even if he’s not rejecting the bottle or crying during a feed? And will fall asleep afterwards?
for example I fed him earlier and he fell asleep while I was wearing him but as soon as he was flat he woke up and was clearly in pain with his tummy until I picked him up again and put him back in the carrier…

CMPA is wildly over diagnosed, and I’m not sure your symptoms align well, although I understand the fear.

I do think changing formula may well be a good idea. Something clearly isn’t agreeing with him if he’s still so mucous-y, and it must be tough seeing him in pain. I’d want to start ruling things out now.

Thank you @YouveGotAFastCar we actually went to the GP today and they suggested an anti reflux formula, and if he’s no better on that within a week they will prescribe us a new formula
