Dd is just over 11 months and has been extremely insistent about breastfeeding. Breastfed exclusively for the first 6 months, then tried to get her onto a bottle. It was like 'Are you insane. NO WAY!' Even spent hours expressing (uuurgh!) into a bottle and she still wouldn't have it. She'll happily drink water from a bottle, but anything else gets a firm refusal. She's on solids, obviously, but up until tonight she's been having a feed to get her off for her morning nap and one at night before she goes down. Tonight, she refused the boob several times, so I thought there was something wrong. Sat in front of Baby TV with her for ages, cuddles, the works. Eventually put her in her cot and she was asleep in seconds. I knew she was tired but not that tired and she always wants to feed. Could my breastfeeding days be finally over? Do they really just decide one day they're not interested anymore? Or is it more likely to be a blip? Cos it would be nice to reclaim my boobs, even though they're now desperately in need of a lift after almost a year of being milk machines for dd.

Thanks, I'll see what happens tomorrow. If she's really declared herself out of breastfeeding, I'll have to think of how to get cow's milk down her (she's a year next month) so no doubt I'll be back here soon for more advice
