3 year olds poops

Hello

my 3 (4 in November) year old son, has historically had wild poops. We are in the process of talking with a paediatrician about possible issues, however she couldn’t put her finger on it and has give us a 6 month open appointment.

Today though, he laid something greener than the Hulks finger (see picture). Has anyone ever experienced this before? As well as their child experiencing crazy poops throughout childhood?

I would also like to add that he is in the 9th percentile for height (I, his Dad am 6ft 5). Could he have a food intolerance / allergy that’s stunting his growth and his poops are a symptom of that?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance
S

No advice I’m afraid, but I did chuckle at the hulk reference. Hope you get him sorted. I have a 3 year old and some of the deposits from him are shocking!

What weight and centile was she born on and what is she on now?

Unless she has been eating lots of something green including dye I would say allergy. What are her other symptoms? What do you mean by wild poo?

I can’t honestly remember what centile he was born, I’ll have to check with the missus!

as far as I know he hasn’t ate anything green, and wild poo’s means that throughout his life he has dropped logs that aren’t normal. We’ve been to the doctors many times but each time they say he’s fine within himself!

was just hoping someone on here may have experienced it!

When he was born you should have been given a Personal Child Health Record, or a Red Book as it’s usually referred to. This will have his height and weight at birth and you can use the charts to plot if he’s following the sane centiles now.

Have you ever tried giving him a probiotic?

In what way are they not normal? Colour, texture, size?

When did the problems start? Was he ff or bf as a baby?
