Tongue tie - post op challenges

Hi there - my two week old just had her tongue tie chipped and it feels like one step forward, two steps back. Lots of angry screaming at the boob and sometimes latches, sometimes refuses to or can’t. Is this normal? She had the procedure done nearly a week ago.

It was normal for us- it took a while for feeding to settle down as she was adjusting to a new way of feeding. Have you got any infant feeding support groups you can get to this week near you? They were invaluable for me looking back.

For me and my son, it took 4 weeks of supplementing with expressed milk and trying the breast, and some cranial osteopathy, for him to start latching and feeding and a few more weeks to getting rid of the bottles. Now he's 5 months and is exclusively breastfeeding
