My DS has been ill since the end of March with D&V, and we are hoping he is finally recovering.
He is bf, and until ill would feed in the morning, maybe once or twice during the day, then bedtime. I am back at work, so obv on those days he wouldn't have his daytime feedds which was fine.
He's never eaten very much, but while ill he has eaten almost nothing (few tiny bits of toast and a couple of raisins a day maybe) and since Saturday he has gone back to feeding like a newborn, or it feels like it! He was in bed with us feeding this morning (maybe from 5-6) and then since getting up at 6.30 he has already had 3 or 4 feeds.
Is he building himself uP? He's had a cough too so maybe a sore throat?
Any advice? please tell me he will go back to normal! I'm back not daring to go in the shower in case he needs feeding

Could be recovering from illness, could be a growth spurt (DS had a big one at about 12/13 mo). I'd wait to see if it settles down again...

this is the great thing about bf at this age, they can rely in it if they're feeling unwell

growth spurt is hopeful, also he's sleeping loads at the moment which would agree with that.
I'm back at work tomorrow tho so worried he'll still need to feed

be prepared for an evening/night of him latching on if that's the case

Right, feed all night, sleep all day
