Help! Snot-ridden baby can't / won't feed

Poor DD (6 months) has a streaming snotty nose which started this afternoon. She last took a small bf about 4pm, subsequently ate her puree at 6pm with tiny sip of water but refused the breast and got very distressed - same refusal again just before she went to sleep. She's now very restless and upset - we've elevated her, got olbas oil nearby and given her kalpol and I know she has had food and liquid inside her not THAT long ago - but at what point do i panic about her not taking any breastmilk? I'm considering making her a bottle of formula as she might find that easier to take - has anyone got any tips or ideas?

If she has a cold or allergy perhaps her appetite is not too good and she is feeling a bit crap hence her being restless and upset (rather than needing a feed)? Just a thought. Perhaps you could try a dream feed later, when my DS had a cold a month ago I found that he fed better when he was sleepy. Hope she feels better soon.

Thanks - I'm sure you're right - she's clearly feeling rubbish. Just got her back to sleep again but I'll try feeding later. It just frrreaks me out when she won't feed.

I know, I am the same, DS usually feeds every 2 hours like clockwork so when he doesn't for whatever reason I can still be found thrusting my bosoms at him in vain and tearing my hair out!
