Hi looking for some advice please! i have a 4 week old that has being vomiting up thick bits of phlegm since she was born with her formula i was told this would clear as she gets older , she is on aptimel 1 normal & had days were she was fine but nearly always struggled with gas and trapped wind causing her to need a good vommit or spit up to feel better & then was constipated for 6 days had a massive diahrea episode then constipated again for 6 days then wouldn’t take her bottles well, after going to a GP she recommended trying aptimel comfort , since we went onto it she took the first few bottles fine now we have persistent vommitting even after only an ounce or two unsettled & sleep is off, however had started to release gas & pooed diahrea again. we brought her to hospital was told she has a “slight viral” but she’s a healthy happy baby it’s not concerning. however i feel something isn’t right with the formula since moving and even before changing she seemed to still struggle keeping it down or kept it down to well she had a rock hard stomach , i’m at a loss weather to change it to kendamil comfort but i don’t want her stomach to messed about!
she’s a happy calm baby not much of a screaming only when she has trapped wind or now when she’s about to vommit

Sounds like CMPA to me, ask your GP for a prescription for formula that doesn't contain cows milk.

Whatever you do, don't keep changing the formula over and over again, their little stomachs can't handle it.

Sounds more reflux than Cmpa. Definitely try getting a prescription formula that's not so heavy on her stomach

Sounds like both reflux and CMPA to me . Speak to your GP and get some reflux medication and possibly some hydrolysed formula

It sounds like this could be because she's constipated. We had six months of the worst vomiting until someone had the foresight to do an xray on her abdomen. She was full of poo! Things were much better once she was on movicol and pooing properly...

It could be non-Ige CMPA but I'm not medically trained and really she needs to see the Doctor again.

Have a read of this from Allergy UK before you go Wink
