Anyone else hate pumping?

My baby is 6 months, EBF, and I'm going back to work in a month (no choice, I don't live in the UK and my employer has actually given me more time already). I HATE PUMPING. It leaves my nipples a bit sore and it gives this weird tingly feeling in my nipples that I absolutely detest, it makes my skin crawl. I have an Elvie Stride and a Medela. I did get a smaller size shield which helped.

Any other pump anyone recommends? How do I get over this? And how much milk do I leave for my baby? I have no idea how much milk he takes at each feed.

Formula is tricky as he has CMPA. Also,I really like breastfeeding and was hoping not to have to end it completely because of work.

Hi,

I pumped from 7 months, also EBF and had CMPA baby so didn't have another choice as formula for CMPA is 🤢

I used a medela swing and a haakaa. Not going to lie I didn't like doing it either, but it grew into a routine and I got used to it. I would pump about 2-4oz which I read is roughly what breastfed babies take in a feed so makes sense. I would send her to nursery with 3/4 4oz bottles and she was fine for a whole day. I would do this 3/4 times a day.

No advice for other pumps as I only used one!
