If your appetite was in overdrive when BF, when did it start to decrease? Also when did you go back into normal bras?

my appetite slowed down when dd's did, so about 5m

underwired nursing bras from Anita at figleaves here and here

fishie · 06/05/2008 08:43

its not worth going into normal bras until you are feeding a bit less often, i think around 8months for me. i got the wrong size too as was rather confused about postnatal shape so do go to john lewis or bravissimo and get properly fitted. anyway eventually i was back into correctly sized attractive bras at about 13m and still bf no probs.

i've never had increased appetite or lost any weight through bf either.

Northerner, try H&M

£9 a pop, very pretty, also matching pants

WilfSell · 06/05/2008 08:46

the Anita underwired bras merry linked to are excellent. I have two and they are so much better than the non-wired ones. No probs at all and MUCH more support!

worth the money IMHO

NorthernLurker · 06/05/2008 08:49

Thank you Mrs Badger - but if H&M do my cup and bra size - 42G - I'll eat my Northern hat That's one reason why I am still wearing the afore mentioned garment - I've not yet prioritised bra cash high enough up the ladder!

merryberry · 06/05/2008 08:51

smilng at bra cash, also low in my priorities below haircut cash, shoes that fit cash and keep feeding the family cash

BerkshireBella · 06/05/2008 08:56

I've never stopped being hungry, and dd is 13 months. I've lost 33 pounds so far with no dieting (in fact quite the opposite, chocolate consumption is rife around here!) Yay for breastfeeding!!!

I've heard that (correctly fitted) nursing bras can help prevent blocked ducts/mastitus so dunno....
