Hello,

I am a product design student currently redesigning an electric steam bottle steriliser. I am eager to find out every ones answers and opinions to the following questions.

Would you consider buying an electric steriliser with reduced capacity? (1 baby bottle at a time etc). What is the lowest bottle capacity you would consider?

Would you be interested in a subscription scheme which delivered baby formula to your door every few weeks as necessary as well as provide you with a free baby bottle steriliser?

Once your baby has grown out of bottles, would you consider returning your steriliser to the manufacturer?

Please answer in as much or as little detail as you wish, feel free to ask me further questions if you are interested and offer your own opinions on the project such as extra features or what you feel is necessary in such product.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, hope you have a great day.

Absolutely not. During those first few months, you go through so many bottles! Couldn’t think of anything worse than doing one at a time. Just wouldn’t have been practical for us. Imagine that after a night shift with a screaming baby 🙃 The only exception would be for an ‘on the go’ steriliser.

The minimum capacity I would want is 6. When we were using ours, it never seemed big enough. I would often also have bowls of Milton on the side with bits to sterilise as well.

Yes I would consider a subscription service. Unsure about sending it back. If I was asked this after my first baby, I would have said no as I knew I would need it again. After my second, I would have considered sending it back.
