Pavlik Harness Breastfeeding

Hi all

Me again!

I posted a week or so ago and was on the brink of quitting breastfeeding but have managed to persevere and she's having breast with 3/4 EBM top ups at the feeds she doesn't feed well... Feeling much better about it.

Anyway, we've now found out she needs a Pavlik Harness and I just don't know how we're going to carry on breast feeding as she only feeds in criss chest and that won't be possible.

Any experience of breastfeeding s fussy baby in a harness? Or am I doomed.. It just feels like one thing after another right now 😓

Are you getting any RL support?

RL = Real Life.
Can you ask your GP or midwife for a referral to your local infant feeding specialists?

Yes RL is Real Life, so the Infant Feeding Team locally or a Lactation Consultant or BFC (Breastfeeding Counsellor).

You can usually call one of the BFing Helplines and they can tell you if they have a BFC on your area.

There's also a list of local BFing Support groups here Flowers
