Could this be silent reflux?

Hi all 😊 new to this game, my first baby is a week old and is EBF. He is a hungry boy and has gained 4oz on top of his birth weight already 🤣 he was born at 40+3 via emergency C-section, if relevant.

Symptoms I’m mildly concerned about:

• Hiccups, often during a feed
• Coughing
• Snuffly/noisy breathing
• Prefers to be held upright rather than laid flat
• Very windy
• Squeals and stretches his legs out/arches his back
• Can be difficult to settle after a feed, and often wants to go straight back on the breast even after a 30-min feed and cannot be settled any other way

Wondering if this might be reflux related, just so I know how to approach my concerns with the MW/HV. Thanks all 😊

It's hard to tell as most babies born by C-Section can be congested and snuffly.

Squirming and wind can again be normal.

Is there a BFing Support Group that you can get too?

Congratulations on your new LO too. It sounds as though you're both doing brilliantly Flowers
