Unable to breast feed - least constipating formula?

My 6 week old is currently half donor breast milk and half formula, but is constipated since having to introduce formula and is on movicol. Currently on Hipp Organic, but wondering if should switch to something else? Kendamil? Happy for any price range to help, just can’t find an answer.

We used the goat milk one as is closest to breast milk. I think it was called Nannycare or similar.

Have a read through this it might be helpful. Formulas are all very similar in their composition.

If I they are constipated in Hipp Organic could you try Hipp Comfort? I doubt that Kendamil will help as there are so many threads where babies have digestive issues with it.

Admittedly people will only usually come to a forum when there is a problem but it does seem to be a lot compared to other formulas.

Hello, I used kendamil cows milk from birth, I always regretted it as I believe it made DS very constipated. Only when I was able to introduce small amounts of breastmilk and added colief to formula did things settle. All in all definitely wouldn't recommend kendamil for constipation- if indeed you decide to go this way it may be worth adding colief to the kendamil. Often, babies struggle to digest milk due to lack of/small amounts of lactase enzyme, so they become all bunged up - colief breaks up milk so it's easier to digest and easier for babies to digest! Hope this helps

Also kendamil focuses on using whole milk as a fat source- which is great as other formulas use vegetable oil, but I genuinely believe it was the whole milk which was difficult for my baby to digest and led to constipation

In my (extensive) experience, the least constipating formulas are the comfort version of Aptamil and Cow and Gate. The most constipating is Kendamil, followed by Hipp Organic then SMA.

Hello! I wondered how you got on. My 5 week old is on movicol but still isn't pooping regularly.
Breastfed and formula x
