Follow on milk from 6 months?

Should I change to a follow on milk at 6 months. I only just noticed it in the chemist this week (ds just turned 6 months). When I compared the nutritional info the follow on seems to have higher vit, min levels per 100ml.

follow on milk has no more calories than ordinary formula

it typically has more iron but many babies of 6 months can get iron and other vitamins from their varied diet.

It is simply product diversification to get you to buy milk, sometimes more expensive and maintain 'brand loyalty' before you move to the formula manufacturers other products.

Thanks for your posts. Funnily enough the follow on milk is cheaper (it's cow and gate btw).
