I'm confused - what is the current legal position re bf in public in England? I thought it was a legal right but did I imagine that??

AFAIK it is perfectly legal to breastfeed in public in England, but it is also legal to object and harrass a bfing mother.

Unlike in Scotland where it is illegal to harrass a breastfeeding mother.

I think it is legal to BF in England, but in Scotland they passed a law making it illegal to harrass/try to stop someone BF.

there was a bill proposed in 2007 to make it illegal to harrass a bf-ing mother so long as the infant was under 12 months old, however the bill was not passed.
