Supply drop at 8 months

Last couple of days I feel my supply has dropped off a cliff. 8 months old is under the weather so feeding less (he's having wet nappies but much less than normal), eating solids very well, I'm back to work as of yesterday (unusual shift pattern allows me to maintain his regular feeds or pump instead), I'm also starting to feel a little under the weather - all could be a factor I guess? I have had over supply and fast letdown throughout, would get 8oz out in 5 mins normally. Just managed 3oz in about 10mins. Starting to panic a bit! Has anyone any advice or experience please?

3oz in the minutes is very good! I wouldn’t be worried about that at all. It may just be that your over supply has calmed a bit?

@fashionqueen0123 yeah that could be it. It's just so weird going from so much, to so I'll little in such a short time.

Yes it probably just seems little because you were getting so much before. Average amount to pump I think I’ve seen in studies is about 2oz!

Mine seems to change all the time with hormones. And if you've started your period yet, I found that was the biggest dip.

That's a good point, I've not started yet but have felt fluctuations, must be round the corner. Baby seems happy enough so feeling a bit less concerned!
