Is there a difference between powdered milk and ready made cartons?

Hi everyone

Just wanted to know if there is any difference in composition between a tub of powdered milk or a ready made carton of the exact same milk?

The reason i ask is because DD has been having a bottle of ready made carton formula before bed. Anyway, I thought it would be more economical to buy a tub of milk powder - same brand, same stage milk etc. However the powdered stuff seems to keep DD's wind down and try as hard as i can, i have real trouble shifting it and she ends up with trapped wind in her tummy, and i have to give her gripe water to soothe it.

The carton stuff is absolutely fine with her tho and it never gives her any trouble.

Maybe i am doing something wrong? I make it up to the manufacturer's instructions, i.e. 1 scoop per oz of water.

TIA!

The water you use is different from the water in the carton, RG. Also the carton has milk that is heat treated. For both reasons the taste alone will be different. No idea about the wind thing, though, sorry.

Oh right, thanx for that. Strange isn't it
