Nursing while pregnant OUCH

In the third trimester and still nursing my first DC. The nipple pain has just been getting worse and worse through the pregnancy and I’m losing my mind! They look a bit dry so have been trying nipple cream as well but it’s just getting worse… can anything be done? Please tell me this will go away after birth! I don’t think I can cope with even a few more weeks of this agony!

No advice I’m afraid but I’m in the exact same boat, so following in case anyone has any advice! It’s particularly nasty atm as LO has a cold and it constantly latching and unlatching!

Just stop breastfeeding.
it’ll be easier to do now than if you have a difficult birth and need a section or to stay in.

I’d prefer to continue, especially given there’s only a few weeks left. It’s only 1-2 feeds per day so I’m just about managing. The first 10-20 seconds of latching are the worst!

It went away for me when DC2 was born and having DC1 to remove any extra milk was great. Also lovely bonding for them as they used to feed at the same time sometimes and DC1 would put his arm around DC2. i no longer got pain when DC2 was born, and the aversion massively reduced, but it did increase again slowly and I weaned DC1 when youngest was almost a year.
