Pumping…top tips!

Due to various reasons, our 4 week old has some bottles of pumped milk and some formula. I’m struggling with pumping as feel it takes me away from the baby. I normally get 5 pumps per day including one middle of the night one whilst my partner does his feed. My partner is back at work soon so I’ll be doing all feeds then. Does anyone have any tips? I’m really wanting him to get the best from me for as long as possible. I currently get two bottles a day plus two bags for the freezer so I do have a bit of a stash!

The only way I ever got any decent amount was to feed only from one side from afternoon of one day and overnight then pump from the other side first thing in the morning.

I’m a pumper! Every 2 hours I pump, I use the app pump log. I use wearables too, I got some cheap ones off Amazon (£25 a pump) and they’re better than my spectra hospital grade pump! I also take sunflower lecithin which reduces the viscosity of milk so you empty quicker and helps prevent clogs
