OP posts:
theUrbanNixie · 22/04/2008 22:39

i object to the use of the word "militant".

i like lactivist

theUrbanNixie · 22/04/2008 22:40

(and a hard hat/stab vest is more preferable to ammo belt tbh)

SoMuchToBits · 22/04/2008 22:41

And I would get rid of the extra "l" in the middle of militant, in case any of the pedants spot it!

milkgoddessmakesthefinestmilk · 22/04/2008 22:41

lol ok, lactivist it is then

i feel the need to do something iykwim

How would you b/feed in a stab vest? Would you get one with flaps?

milkgoddessmakesthefinestmilk · 22/04/2008 22:44

lol, nursing stab vest

OP posts:
mrsruffallo · 22/04/2008 22:47

Lol at lactivist
You must have bare breasts always
Try to breastfeed anything and anyone

milkgoddessmakesthefinestmilk · 22/04/2008 23:00

lol, mrsr

anything else?

OP posts:
theUrbanNixie · 22/04/2008 23:08

boycott nestle
nurse in public (not in a militant way, just in a normal way)
don't make a big deal about bf-ing.
get your dp/friends/family onside by not making a big deal about it (very hard)
join LLL/NCT (good fun even if you're not a lactivist)

nursing stab vest would have nipple flaps for easy access, natch

theUrbanNixie · 22/04/2008 23:19

or you could wear one of these

PinkTulips · 22/04/2008 23:21

surely we need bm squirting AK-47's to be truely militant bf-ers?

liahgen · 22/04/2008 23:22

i asked for and was snet some breastfeeding friendly window stickers from the dept of health, ( i think, will check that)
I've approached local starbucks, costas, neros, (all places i go to alot)and they are happy to display them.

I am also a doula and have obtained from Lactivist.co.uk, some postcards to put in the baby cots in hosp saying.

"I am a bresatfed baby, please do not feed me formula"

harpsichordcarrier · 22/04/2008 23:24

milkgoddess, are you a peer supporter?
have you read any books? I have some recommendations
speak about the benefits of bf and the politics in a matter of fact way at every opportunity
scour the shelves of all shops in the hope of finding one in contravention of the law on formula promotion so that you can complain
