Particles found in neocate

Hey, does anyone have any clue what these bits are in my baby's tub of neocate? We're halfway through the tub and they've just appeared. She's been sick since yesterday which is when we opened the tub and we just thought it was a stomach bug but now I'm worried. Her poos are very mucusy with dark green/almost black streaks. We have called the out of hours doctor and are waiting on a callback.

Never seen this before with neonate or any formula to be fair.

Keep a close eye on her. Have a low threshold for staking her in for medical review. You have no idea what that is.

Yeah they brought her in and examined her but they weren't very concerned. I brought the tub of formula and they didn't even really look in it. They just said keep an eye on her for 3 or 4 days 😐 I'm not too impressed with that. She's got a bit of a cold and he was more concerned with telling me what to do for that. Gonna ring the manufacturers when they open Monday. I rang the pharmacy we bought it from and they weren't bothered either. Just told me dump the tub and they'll give a new one. Feel like I'm overreacting now 🫤

I honestly don't know. It's almost gritty? It's like balls of brown kinda grit and when I squeeze it, it breaks in to more grit like it crumbles.

She was examined just now by the out of hours doc. He was kinda dismissive of the formula problem and just told me call the manufacturers. The pharmacy I bought it from just told me dump it and they'll replace it. They said it may have been a bad batch. But that's not really good enough when I've fed half the tub already to my almost 4 month old 🫤

Is it magnetic? Is the formula fortified with iron as it could be some of the iron that wasn't ground down properly.

Could some coffee grounds have got in there from the tin being open when someone is making one?? Smell it??
