Lansinoh breast pump - do you boil the tube?

The instructions are desperately confusing. It says to sterilise everything that comes into contact with milk, by boiling.

I’m trying to work out if it’s a trick question. Do they mean sterilise everything bar the electric pump? If so then isn’t that an easier way of saying it?

We put the tube in the boiling water but after it was taken out there was still water left in the tube. It trickled away but what if some is still left in there?

I remember this with my Lasinoh pump and I had to look at a few videos to figure it out. You don’t need to sterilise the tube that comes from the pump and connects to the bottle as that doesn’t touch any milk.
Just everything else, so the bottle, duck valve thing, diaphragm and so on. I only put the stuff in boiled water the first time I used it. After that I sterilised the parts in Milton solution.
