Or is in an urban myth? DS is 3 weeks old and the weight seems to be coming off slowly and I can't see how it's through diet as getting through a packet of biscuits every few days!

It worked for me, gone from size 16 pre-pregnancy to size 10-12 after bf for 18 months, no other dieting going on.

I didn't, but then I was permanently starving and ate a LOT of cake. Lost four or five pounds both times in the two weeks after stopping.

..not if accompanied by an insane craving for bread and butter!
sigh
But it worked for my friend...breastfeeding takes around 500 calories a day I recall, it also helps your womb retract quicker for some reason.

Definately worked for me - but I am BF twins so quite a big drain on my supplies! I was back in pre-pregnancy jeans 10 days after giving birth and am now down to a size 8 - two sizes smaller than before. I do eat all day but probably don't always manage to eat 3000 calories, what with the extra 1000 that I supposedly need for feeding them both!

Sure when I stop though it'll pile back on...
