Help! 5 month old not latching on , then crying as though hungry

The last couple of weeks my 5 month old will cry, then get really wound up and not feed.If I can get her to feed she will settle, otherwise she'll cry until she feeds- if that makes sense! This mostly happens when we're out, which makes it worse because she gets upset and I get upset and self concious with people staring at us. Any solutions? Also thought maybe this is something to do with teething, but she's not interested in teething rings, but she'll always suck on my finger ferociously..

can you check your position? I just suggest that as when my ds1 grew, I was still holding his bottom in the middle of me, but because he was longer I wasn't putting his head in the right position. DH had to watch me to see what was wrong.

Are you getting a proper let down? My DS used to cry through impatience. I had to relax and focus on the milk coming down after about 5/6 months.

Hi, my daughter is 3.5 months and has started doing this

My health visitor said that its because she is being impatient and doesnt want to "work" for the milk.

She also does it more frequently in public and I have thought maybe its because I am not as relaxed, so the milk is even slower coming?

My "problem" is that she has a bottle at night so she knows that there is a quicker (anod now preferred) option!
