Giving expressed breastmilk from a cup

My daughter just turned 1. She has had expressed breastmilk from a bottle since birth (tried breastfeeding for first month). She mostly has two bottle feeds a day (morning and bedtime), but sometimes has a small amount in the afternoon too.

I’m aware she should be having milk from a cup, not bottle now. So my question is how I navigate storing milk when giving it from a cup? I assume you can’t store it in a sippy cup as it’s not airtight. So do you store it in a bottle and transfer to a cup when needed? Then can you put what she doesn’t have back into the bottle, or would it need pouring away? Would you advise moving one feed to a cup at first, or going ‘cold
turkey’ and giving all milk in a cup?

Any advice/experience is much appreciated!

Honestly, we didn’t get rid of the bottles for milk until they were 2ish - they simply didn’t drink as much out of cups. They never took long over a bottle so I wasn’t worried about teeth. Other drinks were given in a sippy cup.

I would say you are fine to store in bottle then transfer though if that’s what you want to do. No need to sterilise stuff anymore really,

Thank you, do you mean no need to sterile bottles either? It’s be nice not to have to!

Why's that @Flossyts. Have you got any links please?

Youve got to stop at some time I guess. I didn’t stop at 12 months with my first and then realised I was being daft when he was crawling and I saw him lick both the floor and the dog 🤦‍♀️ bottles were the least of my worries.
