Hi,

Just wondered if using hungry b milk has any point to it ? it has extra fibre in ? DP brought it thinking he was helping ...

I think the idea it has more bulk to it so in theory should fill a baby's tummy a little better. If a baby is trying to take too much formulat than recommended for its ages for example, the idea would be you could use this. We tried it with ds1 and in all honesty I wouldn't bother as it didn't make a blind bit of difference to him except made him badly constipated as it was too thick - so we had to put extra water in it!!!

No!

Its protein is mainly casein, not whey, so the theory is it takes longer to digest - no real evidence for this working in practice.

Calorie content is the same.

A friends LO was on it from day dot and has suffered from serious constipation all his life - on medication, has a REALLY tough time having a poo still. He's about 12 years old now. The two could be unconnected but why risk it?
