Elvie stride breast pump

does anyone else find this pump incredibly unreliable?
I find that when it works well it’s fantastic but sometimes it’s very very stressful to use.
I follow the instructions, ensure it’s dry when using (even the slightest bit of moisture stops it working) and still it doesn’t work 50percent of the time.
I’ve noticed the valve at the end of the pipe falls off a lot. Sometimes I can’t feel the suction and it often leaks. It often works well on the first breast and then I get nothing from the second breast.

I use mine once a day (baby is 4months) and haven't experienced the problems you mention. But I see the reviews online are really mixed, so I suspect very much that it's a bit hit and miss as to whether you get one with an issue or one without.

If you are having issues with output, have you checked you are using the right flange size? You can buy a smaller size on their website or inserts on amazon if you need a smaller size than elvie manufacture.

My lactation consultant said that pippeta are a good but cheaper alternative to elvie if you wanted to try a different brand.
