Formula feeding help please?

Hi, need some help/advice with my DD who is 7 weeks old and formula fed. Is it normal for babies appetites to change all the time? She was draining 5oz bottles so I put her up to 6oz but over the last couple days she is now only taking 4oz. Just worried as she is 7 weeks old and only having 4oz at a time after a good while of draining 5oz. For reference here are the last couple days feeds: 17:20 - 5oz 22:45 - 5.5oz

06:30 - 5oz 12:00 - 5oz 17:30 - 6oz 22:45 - 4oz 04:55 - 4.5oz

10:15 - 4.5oz
14:35 - 4.5oz
18:45 - 4oz

Yes absolutely fine - just like you and I sometimes hungry sometimes not so much.

Put a sock over the bottle and try not to focus on oz they take. They will stop when they have had enough and that's ok if you are feeding on demand / when they ask for it

@ohhollyfred thank you so much it does take over sometimes tracking all the feedings lol. Funnily enough she ended up draining the 5oz again and had another 4oz 2 hours later! Keeping me on my toes lol x

Ha ha yep! And she will continue to do so...

I know it's hard to not obsess over it - especially if you want them to get enough in the day to do a good stretch over night 😂

She sounds like she’s taking plenty. My DS is 16 weeks and only drinks 3 or 4 oz!
