Phasing out bf 6 weeks

If you switched from BF to FF how did you do it? DD is coming up to 6 weeks currently feeding 18-20 times in 24 hour period. We have always given 1 bottle in evening and yesterday I introduced another in the day.
I also expressed once yesterday for 30 mins and got 90ml
All advice says slowly replace one feed with a bottle at a time every few days but with the amount she feeds from me it's hard to guage it. I'm in no huge rush to stop but also have no issues switching to FF so want to do it the most painless way possible for us both!

I think the current advice is to drop one feed every two weeks but you could try dropping one a week? She's likely to start going longer between feeds soon anyway Flowers

Forgot to say that if you call one of the BFing Helplines a call, one of the BFCs should be able to help you to come up with a plan that should suit both you and DD Flowers

Giving a bottle at set times, so like you’re doing at night, then adding one first thing and then one middle of the day. Then just on demand breast feeding in between?

i never found that the advice for dropping feeds etc made any sense for my babies because they were also quite “snacky” all the way through, to over a year. Frequent small feeds. Really bothered the health visitors 😂
