Burning, achy breast

Hi
my baby is 6 months old, is mainly breast fed with odd top ups of formula.

my left breast has always produced more milk and been babies preference, never had any issue with latching or pain.

However the last couple of weeks I’ve had an intense pain in my breast when baby intially latched which then dies down as he feeds. However after the feed for a period of time my breast feels like it is burning from the inside and achy. I initially thought mastitis but I have no other symptoms and it’s not sore to the touch. I then thought maybe thrush but from what I’ve read you get in both breasts not just one.

anyone have any ideas?

My (rather uneducated) guess would be thrush too. Does it sound like this?

Have you tried calling one of the www.nhs.uk/start-for-life/baby/feeding-your-baby/breastfeeding/breastfeeding-help-and-support/ BFing Helplines]]?
