My 11 week old was consistently taking 4oz every 4 hours during the night for as long as I can remember & less during the day between 2/3oz every 2 hours (reverse cycling) but the last 2 days he’s not fed much at all during the day or night, he only took 5 oz from 8pm until 6am when he woke up for the following day - I’m so concerned he’s not getting what he needs, he’s not got a temperature, he’s sleeping the same as before, still alert etc & also he doesn’t seem hungry

He does have a tongue tie but this hasn’t ever been an issue before, at his last GP appointment the doctor said it was nothing to worry about as his tongue movements & suck was absolutely fine which further adds to my confusion

Could this just be a growth spurt? He’s my first child & I think I just need some other mum reassurance that all is ok!

Unfortunately unless you have an extremely rare GP most have absolutely no idea on TT or how it can affect babies. I would seriously consider getting it checked by a Tongue Tie Practitioner.

How is LO feeding now? Are they taking more milk?

Just seen this today

hes completely back to normal he’s taking 4oz every 3 hours again :) I think im going to see about the TT, we were told there would only be intervention if it affected speech or eating solids
