Help! BF with bunged nose

Her nose not mine! My 20 week dd has got the most horrendous snotty nose. When she feeds it rattles round and round (i'm trying not to gag).

She can't breath and breaks off feeding leading to frustration and copious amounts of wind.

Any tips?

Never ever done it myself but some people suck it out of their litte ones nose.

u can buy saline for their noses or speak to ur midwife i remember my wee one was bad and the saline helped a bit, i think at 20 weeks there is not much else u can do, you could maybe have her in her carry cot wth shower on the steam usually helps

I always suckied the snot out of DSs nose just before he latched on if he had a cold...& no need to faff around with gadgets mid feed when the snot reappears....but it's not something I would do in company. Even DH gagged at the thought of it....for some reason it never bothered me

Get a snot sucker, small pipet with a squisy ball on the end , does exactly what the name implies. I have used mine alot with a snuffy 6wk old.

I think it was from boots or local chemist.

terramum, thats fantasic,
