looking for some advice!
we took my DD (now 4.5 months) to Spain last month, where she started refusing her bottles (formula fed). We presumed this was due to the heat and offered it to her cold and more regularly, and with persistence she drank most of her bottles.
on returning to the UK she picked up a virus from her cousins and has also been what I assume is teething. She now seems better in herself but is refusing almost all of her bottles except the morning one. She was having 5x 6oz bottles 3 hourly throughout the day with her last bottle at 7pm. She usually sleeps through until 6.30am and has her morning bottle at 7am.
We got to the stage where her next bottle would be due but she was only half way through her previous bottle. We then decided to give her 4x 8oz bottles to give her more of a gap to get herself hungry but she is now managing 4oz max of any given bottle and then refuses the next bottle even 4 hours later.
for the last week her bedtime routine has been a nightmare with her screaming at bedtime as she doesn’t want the bottle and just wants to sleep. We’ve persisted with offering her the bottle but she just wants to go to bed. I don’t want her to go to bed hungry or wake super early for her morning bottle, and am worried that this is getting worse.
I had started giving baby porridge after her morning nap which she is enjoying but she doesn’t have any other food/puree.
wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar to this at a similar age?
