How much expressed milk to give?

DP is very excited that we are going to introduce an expressed bottle at the 10pm feed tonight to our DD

I've been steadily building up the supply in the freezer over the past few weeks and dont want to waste this liquid gold, any recommendations on how much to give in the bottle? She is 5 weeks and is 3.5kg.

It's difficult to say, really, but at that age my DS was taking 3-4oz of EBM for that feed. Enjoy the rest!

(PS. I know how you feel when you call it 'liquid gold'. I can't bear to waste a drop of mine!)

My DD has never taken any more than 5ozs froma bottle, but that was later on when she was about 8 weeks.

At that age, she'd only take about 3ozs, but treated it more like a snack and still wanted a full BF from me minutes later.

Agree on the extra expressing to make up for the missed feed to maintain your supply; it's still sorting itself out at this stage
