Breastfeeding is only one way of loving your child. You have a loving relationship, you had the best of intentions and things didn't go to plan. Such is life I'm afraid. Perhaps one day you will have another child and try again, but the fact that you want the best for your daughter completely outweighs what you weren't able to do.

Chin up. You're doing great

Its funny, in some ways I feel than we missed out not having a vaginal birth. We can never do or have everything we need for our kids. The best Mum, in my very humble opinion, is those who do are doing the what their child needs - not what is the 'norm'.

She's lucky she has a Mum that looked after her! She will need you to help with feeding waaaaaaaaaaaay after I stop breast feeding her.

Not been a Mum very long but I suspect the guilt thing will be there what ever we do!

starscream - you say you are close. How wonderful.
You will always have a special bond with her. She is your little angel I am sure
Please try not to regret the things that have been out of your control. You have not chosen this way it has been chosen for you
You sound like a wonderful Mum
Love to you and hope you have a calm night with your beautiful daughter
