8 month old today started tapping/bashing milk bottle as he was drinking from it!!

surely it hurts his gums bashing the bottle he so much loves....

My babies used to bash my breast when feeding- it's supposed to encourage let down- perhaps he want a faster teat? Just a thought.

probably likes the noise/vibration. Won't be long before he holds it himself !

oh wow! lets hope he starts holding it - he is getting to be a big boy!

my ds does the same, his arms always swung about a lot, but now he bashes against the bottle (and in fact my boob too).

Both mine did that too. Just messing about I suppose? Never thought there might be a reason behind it particularly.

I'd give anything to go back to the bashing stage - dd now ferrets her hand inside my bra and twiddles my other nipple

it is maddening

(and yes I know she is getting it ready to let down when she swap sides, but still)

lol mrs badger. When I first tried dd with a bottle, my two and half year old ds put his hand in my bra, gave my boob a wobble and said 'mummy's got no milk left!"

my ds does this with my boob He also does it to the bottles, as well as flicking the teat
It's so cute!

ds has also taken to flicking the teats of bottles, unfortunately he does it to my nipple too ouch!!!!
