had no probs at all with ds1 7 years ago who would happily switch between breast/bottle.

ds2 totally refuses to drink from bottle, is horrified, goes into meltdown, won't even have the teat in his mouth. tried different teats/bottles, tried squeezing milk into his mouth from bottle so he knows what's coning. he's fairly determined not to cooperate, bless him.

i just want to be able to have the odd couple of hours out every now and again with him able to take a bottle if i'm not back in time for a feed!

any suggestions?

I had this problem with my DS and after speaking to my health visitor she suggsted that someone else was to give him the bottle feed. Reason for this is that the baby can smell your breast milk while you are trying to give him the bottle which can be very confusing for him.

Have you tried this already? It may even be worth you going out the room so he cant smell ot see you.

Good luck it worked for me in the end!!
