Planning on bottle feeding our baby. How should I prepare?

Hello!
We're planning on bottle feeding our baby using Mam bottles.
My question is, should we buy a large set of them or only buy a few just in case the baby doesn't take to them?

Also, how many bottles are generally needed in a day? And what size teat should we use?

Thanks!

Hi!

We use mam bottles too! Baby had 8 bottles a day as a newborn, we had 4 bottles and we sterilised them twice a day. We used teat 0+, then 2+, then 4+. You'll need a steriliser too (philips avent, we love it)

If you want, there are fab formula prep machines such as tommy tippee perfect prep.

Best of luck!

Hi,

Don't buy a large set as it may take a while to find one that your baby likes. We made that mistake and brought a big set that my baby found frustrating to feed from. I think newborns generally need to feed every 2 hours to begin with. We had about 6 bottles once we found the one our baby liked and used a cold water steriliser
