Reflux advice

Really hoping for some advice. I have a 7month old (on Thursday) she’s been terribly reflux since birth started with hiccups and bringing up milk. This then turned into all the symptoms fussiness, crying, vomiting 5+ times a day, bringing up milk, hiccups, coughing a lot, disturbed sleep etc. Was hoping after starting solids it would start to improve however around 5 1/2 months it upped terribly. Went to doctors and upped her omeprazole to full tablet dose this seemed to work for about a week and 1/2 then straight back to constantly vomiting, coughing, disturbed sleep. Back to doctors this time omeprazole and gaviscon again seemed to be working well week and half later back to vomiting a lot and coughing, hiccups and disturbed sleep. Doctor gave prescription for aptamil pepti 2 to try so collected today.

It seems very watery so unsure this will work well and stay down? And whether it won’t fill her up and she’ll be hungry she has 6 bottles a day.

Wondering obviously whether to try this milk with the gaviscon and omeprazole or just stick to normal formula and hope that by her birthday she’ll be somewhat cured?

She’s normally on cow and gate 1 as HV said they’re all the same/same ingredients/come out same factory but I’ve always wondered of trying kendamil or aptamil?

Obviously overall I don’t think she’s allergic to milk as no major skin issues or poo concerns. I had an intolerance when I was young cured mainly with goats milk but obviously she can’t have that yet.

Any advice welcome it’s horrible watching them suffer and feel like you’re failing! ❤️

Our DD was on 3 medicines for reflux. I was advised by the HV at 10 weeks to switch to a Stay Down formula. We used Cow and Gate Anti Reflux.
Our DD was so poorly she was admitted to hospital (failure to thrive). Had test for meningitis ( spinal tap at 10.5 weeks).
Keep pushing for a diagnosis. I did.
10 years ago I was posting here at 3am from the hospital because I knew it was reflux.
It will get better after six months.
Do a search on this site about reflux and you'll get loads of advice.

Yeah was hoping it would get better after 6 months and with food but she’s now nearly 7 months it’s like the medication works for a short amount of time and then stops working?

I looked on here for reflux help but nothing similar to her story in medication working then not. Whether a change of formula is a good thing?

Unfortunately weaning made absolutely no difference to my daughters reflux and at nearly 4 is still knackered high dose medications

She needed 3mg/kg dose of omperazole to have any effect by the time she was 6 months she was on the top dose for her age so they couldnt increase again until she turned 2 so it slowly dropped the mg/kg dose and it was less effective. At about 8 months they added domperidone to the mix too. She also had as much gaviscon as we could get in her. She is still on omperazole, gaviscon and domperidone now and we notice when her omperazole dose drops below the top dose.

She also has food allergies and these did make her reflux worse too although she does still have reflux when her allergies are stable and not affecting her.

Her reflux hasn't been linear and lots of things make it worse such as growth spurts (going up as well as gaining weight so not purely linked to medication dose) teething colds etc.
