That's the question!

I feed him between 5 and 10 times a night, and while I think it's just habit or comfort, I am reluctant to stop because I worry he's hungry or thirsty. Also I'm not keen on using bottles and he just doesn't get the hang of cups.

ooh

two different questions, surely?

once babies start on solids they should be offered water with every meal - out of a sippy cup

wrt feeding in the night i very much doubt a 9mo needs it. is his weight ok? no other health issues?

Only water I gave before a year was letting DS try out cups. Just put a little in a cup for him to try out.

With his meals that should be.

He's 50th percentile and no, no other health issues. I offer him water from a doidy cup, but he blows in and laughs or else looks shocked as it dribbles down his chin!

Maybe it is two different questions Tutter, I guess I just wanted to know whether other babies are having a lot of water and therefore need less milk than him. If that was the case, then I should continue feeding him aaaaaaaaalllll night. I hate the thought of denying him if that's what he wants. You know.
