I'm still demand feeding my now 20month dd, she sill normally feeds 3-4 times a day. But when my periods returned 4 or 5 months ago she gets very weird. A few days before it starts and then during she wants to feed ALL the time plus she wakes in the night (always sleeps through normally).

Why does this happen, and what can i do to help? Do i need something extra in my diet?

Sammysam, my DD is 4.5 mo and my periods returned last week and I noticed this also. She wanted to feed ALL the time and even woke at night for a feed. She had started sleeping through at 6 weeks so this knacked me. I wonder if the period makes the milk taste different?

I'd been told that it can make them feed less frequently.............

Anyone have a magical answer

I don't know much about this subject, but I do know that ovulation and periods can change the taste of your milk.

Maybe TikTok will be along later, she will probably have more information.

Hi , this affects me also ! Had been reading stuff on Kellymom which recommends taking a calcium magnesium supplement post ovulation up to arrival of your period .
