Bit of a long one so please bear with-

baby has been suffering with quite a bit of reflux since birth (no pain just constant vomiting). At the age of about 3 months we decided to try Aptamil anti reflux formula, we then noticed her stools firm up a bit and her pooing frequency decreased to every other day. It then got to the point where she wasn’t pooing for 4/5 days so after 2 months on the AR reflux formula we took her off and put her on normal Aptamil. Was fine and pooing daily for 5 days. Then suddenly stopped pooing and was fussing at the bottle, Gp prescribed lactulose but this did nothing so decided to research other formulas. Heard lots of great things about Kendamil so swapped her to that. Now on Kendamil she’s often producing sharts in her nappy but is still not pooing daily (can go between 2-4 days without a poo- just to add, when she does produce a poo, it it’s always soft and or runny). Does anyone have any advice please? I’m losing my mind!

Without pain or discomfort and no weight loss, I wouldn't have necessarily been concerned about the vomiting – many many babies are 'happy chuckers' as they call them.

2-4 days between poos is also not necessarily a cause for concern – again, as long as she's not in pain or discomfort and her poos are not hard and pellet-like.

Any change in diet will have an effect on bowel movements – in 3 months she's had 3 changes of formula plus lactulose added (which can take a week to be effective), so I would chill with the changes a bit and stay consistent unless she is showing signs of discomfort.

Is she on solids yet?
