Trapped wind in newborns

when did gas discomfort ended for your baby, by which I mean when did they start to sleep through it?

Background: I'm not looking for advice on how to treat it. My baby baby, EBF, is week 7 and wakes up from discomfort or pain. I tried really EVERYTHING there is, GP said it will get much better by 3 months so it's a waiting game. Just want some reassurance really.

Trapped wind is very painful and there was no sleeping thru it for my ds. I'd spend ages rubbing his back after feeding, annoying when he'd just fed to sleep but worth it in the long run!

He was ebf and milk seemed to come out super fast (except when I was trying to express it!) I'd be feeding him one side and leaking the other. You are doing an amazing job but those first few months are hard!!

For me trying to wind him after feeding worked best, "peddling" his legs at nappy change to help move wind out and if he was sore with wind he often relaxed in his Tummytub bath. I remember trying gripe water at 3 months but I don't think it made any difference. Ds is a teen now, seems like yesterday and an age ago all at the same time!

Do any of the symptoms sound like these @SnugTurtle?
