Nuby Rapid Cool

Hi, I have a little girl who is 12 weeks old and I bought the rapid cool whilst pregnant and haven’t used it due to being so confused!!

ordinarily I make bottles from the kettle, so I boil the kettle, wait 30 mins then add my cow and gate formula (as per instructions on the tub)
with the rapid cool do I add fresh boiled water (literally as the kettle has boiled) into the rapid cool and add my formula to that? Seems odd when the cow and gate tub tells you to wait 30 mins?!

also I am cold water sterilising, I’m filling up a bowl with the Milton and water.. how long do I leave it to sterilise?!

sorry for the long post just an overthinking mum!

I do mine differently but works well...

I have my 6 scoops of formula pre measured in the little tubs.

Measure out 6oz of boiling water from my flask into the bottle. Pour 5oz of that water into the rapid cool. Mix the remaining 1oz of water with the formula in the bottle, pour cooled water in when ready.

That way I don't have to sterilise my rapid cool every time as it's only had boiling water in and the 1oz left is enough to sterilise the formula. I have a chilli bottle I fill up and it keeps the water boiling for 12 hours so take that to bed with me along with the rapid cool, bottles and pots.

Yes just that, hot water and powder and give it a good shake, the tap the lid to see what colour the logo is - green is good to go.
The rapid cool does the job of the 30 minute wait.

I use a UV steriliser but I think it’s whatever the steriliser tablet time
recommends - is it 5 minutes?
I know the lid will stop working if it’s over submerged.

Ok, that makes sense Thankyou. I was more concerned I was going to kill the good vitamins etc in the formula by adding it to fresh boiled water and not having that 30 min wait!
it makes more sense to do the hot shot method to save sterilising every time!
