Problems introducing cow's milk

Hi, my 1yr old DD has been on cow's milk for a couple of weeks now but her nappies have gone really stinky and loose and don't seem to be getting any better. She seems ok in herself and doesn't have a rash or anything. I gave her formula again today and nappies have been much better, but am not sure what to do now. Should i just keep giving her formula?

Both my 2nd and 3rd LOs have been unable to tolerate cow's milk at first. I continued to breastfeed them, but gave them formula when they couldn't have bm, rather than cow's milk. Eg for cereal. There was an immediate improvement. (Dd used to puke up cow's milk within minutes, ds2 had tummy cramps, vile diarrhoea, and appalling nappy rash.) I would try them out on cow's milk every 4-6m, and stick to formula until they showed that they could tolerate cow's milk. They were/are fine with yoghurt and hard cheese. Dd was OK with cow's milk some time between 2.5y and 3y. Ds2 is 18m and still not OK with cow's milk.
