Hello,
looking for advice please- my baby is 10 weeks old and has suffered with reflux pretty much since he was born. He was given gaviscon to try but this didnt work so we were given omeprazole but again i dont think this is working. Everything is still the same and isnt getting better.

he is extremely windy, farts all the time but is in discomfort when doing this, discomfort when pooing even when its diarrhoea which most of the time it is. Scrunches legs up around 1 hour after feeding and just cries continuously until his next feed. Can also hear bubbling in his stomach. We try wind him after every oz but he cries every time we wind him. Sneezing alot, hiccups alot. Sounds congested all the time too, he just seems so unhappy.

spoke to health visitor but she said to just keep going with omeprazole.

any advice is appreciated :)

Allergy have this really helpful article on CMPA. Does your LO have many of the symptoms?

What dose of omperazole were you on and were you giving it alongside gaviscon.

Have you explored cmpa?

My daughter has food allergies that made her reflux worse but also has reflux in her own right. She needs the 3mg/kg dose of omperazole for it to have any effect and also needed gaviscon in every feed except overnight and eventually we went on domperidone too which was a game changer but difficult to get prescribed

She is nearly 4 and still has to have high dose medications to control it
