Hello ladies am hoping one of you will know, am leaving dd (8 weeks) with MIL tomorrow (eek!) and am just worrying about it already - I have expressed 180ml and plan to do some more in the morning - so should have at least 300ml, I will feed her before leaving aswell. Will this be enough for 2 feeds do you think?

Thanks

300ml sounds like a sensible sort of amount. However (not sure if your MIL bf or not) DO tell her not to warm up large amounts at a time. When dd was this young 60 to 90 ml was pretty much her max. When MIL observed that 60ml did "not look like much" I pointed out that she could always warm up more and that it was better to do this than throw unused EBM away. Eventually we just started to feed dd EBM at room temperature to avoid the whole warming conundrum.

Hope this makes sense

Thankyou, I will remember to tell her that, think all her other grandchildren were ff so she is pretty pleased that dd is being bf which is really nice.

Now I can get on with chewing my nails and wringing my hands about something else can you tell it's the first time I've left her with anyone but dp!!

HTH

PS I suspect that with a baby this young your boobs will bring you back soon enough

Ha - that can be my excuse for turning up earlier than I should

She apparently has to go to the shopping centre tomorrow - I think she is secretly hoping she will bump into someone she knows so she can show dd off.

I am having palpatations about it already and have considered following her stalker style around the shops!
